Directory listing text
Psychotherapy is something that happens between people...you and me. It is a process that I expertly and sensitively guide, but it is something that we experience together. Relationships, past and present, may be a source of pain, frustration or fear...but they are also the key to unlocking your full potential. Together, we will work to alleviate your most pressing problems. Simultaneously, we will develop an understanding of the deeper, underlying issues that may contribute to keeping you isolated and stuck in emotional and relational patterns that interfere with your capacity to more fully give and receive love.

Extensive research on human development tells us that "successful dependency" (the capacity to rely on secure, consistent relationships) promotes autonomy. Individual autonomy allows us to stand alone when needed, and enhances our ability to enjoy our emotional life, intellect, artistic capacity, functions of the body, and personal identity. So that dependence and independence are not in conflict, rather, they happen together.

I strive to maintain a safe and secure atmosphere for you to fully express yourself...body, mind, and spirit...and to open yourself up to the multitude of possibilities for transformation.
